Where in the World are Dave and Elizabeth?

 Day 2 After twenty four hours of resting and sleeping his cold away, Dave woke up ready to walk.  I, on the other hand, felt meh and a little lightheaded. I couldn’t out my finger on anything specific, though, so I ignored my instinct that we should take a taxi to our planned activity: viewing the giant tortoises at the Botanical Garden.  Mr. Google sent us on a confusing route.  After we had gone out of our way in the tropic heat and equatorial sun, we found ourselves right by the store I strolled to yesterday.  We could actually see the ship from that intersection. Talk about walking in circles!  We met up with a couple who had taken a much shorter path to the intersection, and they looked as cool as if they had just been sipping juleps on a covered porch.  Google had promised an 18 minute walk.  Mahé Day 1 Technically, we are already in Africa, though we are more accurately in an island nation near the continent.  It is fascinating to be in this part of the world.  Things I love about the Seychelles: 1) gorgeous mountains, beaches, and water 2) lush and varied vegetation 3) giant tortoises, and 4) lovely people who all speak French. (When I was out and about today, it seemed that most people communicated in French with each other, but they also speak English and a local patois.) Dave was sick today, so I ventured out on my own.  I wanted to walk to a particular art supply store.  The route looked simple on a map, but I gave up when trying to navigate two connected intersections and a roundabout. There were no lights to allow pedestrians to cross through the continual traffic.  Of course, this.was all in steamy equatorial heat.
